In the Inpatient Acute Rehab setting, Dr. Liu serves as the


Medical Director for the world-class, CARF-accredited 30-bed


Rehab Unit at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek,


California.  Together with his team of expert Rehabilitation


Therapists, Dr. Liu strives to provide each patient with a


unique, customized Rehabilitation program.



Dr. Liu  provides care for patients who have rehabilitation


issues related to sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain, stroke,


traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and various other


neurological conditions.  Dr. Liu also performs


electrodiagnostic testing (EMG-Nerve Conduction


Studies) to help patients assess for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome,


nerve root compression, and other causes of persistent


numbness, tingling or weakness.



As featured in local, national and international news, Dr. Liu


has successfully implemented use of the Nintendo Wii to help


treat patients who have sustained various neurological injuries. 


As a pioneer of “Wii-Habilitation” or “Wii-Hab” medicine, Dr.


Liu is continually working on further developing the field of


Virtual Physical Rehabilitation.
